FORTUNE -- The swimming securities alone on Apple's balance sheet, roughly $98 billion, would make it the 43rd most worthful company in the global. Apple's cash would egregious it just behind McDonalds, an dumbfounding and eccentric statement in the annals of modern cash management. No company in its correct mind would keep $100 billion mendacious around. But then, as I've been arguing frequently of belated, Apple is no normal company.
